Description
This element is added where someone in the household has regular and substantial caring responsibilities for at least 35 hours per week. Only one carer element is allowed per individual; in joint claims, two carer elements can be included providing both partners are not caring for the same disabled person. Where at least one carer element is being received in the household, a carer entitlement is recorded.
